The word “rapture” does not occur in the inspired Scriptures. 1Â Cor. 15:50, Revised Standard Version: “I tell you this, brethren: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.”
Matthew 24:21, 22, “Then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.” (This does not say that “the chosen ones” will all have been taken to heaven before the great tribulation, does it? Rather, it holds out the prospect to them, along with associates in the flesh, of surviving that great tribulation on earth.)
Revelation 7:9, 10, 14, Revised Standard Version: “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!’ . . . ‘These are they who have come out of the great tribulation.’” (To “come out” of something a person must go into it or be in it. So this great multitude must be persons who actually experience the great tribulation and come out of it as survivors.)
There will be protection for true Christians during the great tribulation.
Romans 10:13, Revised Standard Version: “Every one who calls upon the name of the Lord [“Jehovah,” New World Translation ] will be saved.”
Zephaniah 2:3, Revised Standard Version: “Seek the LORD [“Jehovah,” New World Translation, American Standard Version, Byinton], all you humble of the land, who do his commands; seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the wrath of the LORD.” (Also Isaiah 26:20)
Matthew 5:5, Revised Standard Version: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”
Psalms 37:29, Revised Standard Version: “The righteous shall possess the land [“earth,” Ro, NW], and dwell upon it for ever.” (Also verses 10, 11, 34)
1Â Cor. 15:50, Revised Standard Version: “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.”

There is no rapture. It is not in the Bible. If you are saying, will we recognize our relations after they are resurrected, yes, but it will be because of things they say or do and not because of the way they look. Their bodies will be more perfect than those who survive but eventually the bodies of those who survive will also be perfect.

Yes, we will be recognizable to those who knew us here on earth, just as Jesus was recognized by the apostles and disciples after His resurrection. This is explained at 1 Cor. 15.
Peace.

I think we can, the reason I believe that is because when Moses and Elijah came to visit with Jesus on the mountain, Peter, John, and James knew who they were. It may be just a sense of knowing because they had never seen Moses or Elijah, but I bet we will know who everyone is.

The rapture is not mentioned in the bible. It has extra-biblical origins. And most important of all, it's not true.
