Well it seems a lot of people here on Yahoo! answers R/S forum 'die' or are 'murdered' and then are 'reincarnated' as something else. A phoenix that rises from the ashes?! I like the imagery very much! I am on the lookout for 'reincarnates'. Anyone agree? PEACE!

No one can really give proof of such things. Nor can they prove that when we are dead, that's it, we're just dead. Even near death experiences can, scientifically, be rationalized (though there is no way to even call that actual Proof as it's more of a guestimation based on brain waves). Personally, I believe in reincarnation... even an atheist couldn't disagree with the fact that energy is not destroyed, it just changes. Though, something I find frustrating is the fact that there are a lot of people out there who claim to be reincarnated, but their previous lives are always kings, queens, rich people, people who found true love and lived happily. You just don't hear of people claiming that in a previous life they were a slave and didn't have much of a life at all. They're always famous somehow.

Mmm yes, I've been reincarnated a few times. I've always come back as a motorcycle though. Just the brands and pics have changed over my various existences.

FWIW, I wasn't ever murdered, nor did I die a natural death. It was always suicide. Or would that be avicide?

EDIT: I have no proof; I can only give my word. Unfortunately, no matter how far back you go, you will only see my current ID. The Wise Ones of YA have deemed that new incarnations will wipe out all traces of former lives.

I believe in reincarnation but not in past lives. I like to think that our souls are energy but it is easier to picture them as water for the analogy. If you picture your body as a cup and your soul as water in the cup then you can see that when you are created water is poured into the cup. Naturally, the water takes on some characteristics of the cup (hereditary traits) akin to water in a plastic, glass, or tin cup. As we go through our lives our water (souls) are colored by our experiences. When we finally leave this incarnation our water (souls) are poured back into the Collective Consciousness where the colored water spreads out just as when you pour colored water into plain water. When a new cup is filled it takes on some of the color from others but never 100% of what was, this explains why sometimes a place or event in history seems familiar to us but no one can remember all of a past life to the smallest detail.

The only "proof" of this I can offer is from observation of Nature. When a tree falls and decomposes another tree may spring and grow from that spot but it is never the exact same tree. Nature loves to recycle.

Blessed Be )O(

R u talking about reincarnation...or reincarnation on YA?..well i take it as reincarnation

Example :- There are many just google it out...recently in India (Uttar Pradesh), a muslim boy who was murdered reincarnated in a hindu's house...in Indian magazines there is a story, where many confirmed this even skeptics)

Moreover there are many things that can not be proved...like God, Love, Soul etc. Laboratries and proofs can be given for materialistic things not for higher realms..because nature keeps her secrets and enjoys our ignorance.

Our soul starts its journey in chemicals...and after each awakening find itself in plants, animals and finally human beings.

As humans we have to learn millions of lessons of pains and joys, richness and poverties, cruelty and kindness, killing and be killed, ...till we reach our next mind evolution i.e. Divinity.

One life is not sufficient for all these lessons. hence our soul after death goes to another body to learn other sets of lessons

The paradoxes as to why some are born rich some poor, some without mind or without limbs...some from poverty going to utter richness...some spiritual from childhood... can not be explained without Reincarnation

Reincarnation is a truth and if a book denies it...truth does not change.

Many during the hypnotic state have remembered their last birth.

Why we dont remember past birth? Because Nature does not want us to get entangled to our last relations...so that we can freely learn new lessons...that z why She takes away the gross memory at death..and leads soul to new body with the resultant progress earned during last births.

Me too. I haven't been killed yet. But, I would come back if I was. I hope all of our friends will.

As for actual reincarnation, it interests me a bit. I saw a really convinceing program about a woman who felt compelled to find children from her pastlife, and a picture of the woman she thought she had been before looked just like her. It was freaky.

Yes, this is a true story about my reincarnation!

I know for a fact that i have lived before! Many different people have seen the ghost (Bob) of my last life time walking around when i 'm asleep (kind of an astral projection)! And at least one person said that Bob had a silver cord protruding out of his stomach area.
One time back in about 1980 a woman named Cindy Bang came to work one day and told everybody about a strange dream she had. She said that the dream was very real. In the dream this guy named Bob came to her bedroom and was talking to her. She said that she couldn't see his face, but he was one of the guys that worked there in the factory(she worked in the factory office)!
She said that in her dream they were talking to each other about old times, and she was dressed up as a Southern Belle and going by the name Pat.
She said that Bob was dressed up in some kind of strange out fit (she didn't realize that it was a uniform of the Ohio Militia during the Civil War)!
This woman named Pat had been an Aunt of Margarat Mitchell that woman who wrote the book "Gone With The Wind" and she had gotten some of her ideas from stoies Pat told her! That is one of the things that they had said in Cindy's dream.
I already knew from a vision i had in 1973 that in my last life i had been a Civil War vet. This was in Pillipsberg, MT. and i had told many people about it including my gf at that time Cathy! Also there were many Mormons in the area and the Church of Mormon got interested for several reasons! One being that one person had seen my ghost Bob walking in the hallway of the hotel i lived in and it (Bob the ghost) opened the door to my room and walked right in. At that point in time i was sitting on the bed just kind of day dreaming. Cathy was in the room too but had her back was towards the door and she never saw anything.
Anyhow long, long story short (many years and many incidents) I never told Cindy that i was the guy in her dream(Bob) but i did tell some other people about it one being a woman named Carrie in 1987. A day or so later she went to the hospital for some reason. When she was there in the hospital she read the story about Cindy's dream in the Fargo Fourm newspaper! I never read the story in the paper but many other people told me that they did.

No. As you pointed out, it is an attractive idea, and much fiction has included it. However, there's no real evidence of it happening. Further, there does not seem to be a mechanism for it to happen. All evidence points to us just being dead when we die.
