I know it's a bit early...52 Days early I think!!! but I'm really stuck. Don't know what to buy my boyfriend. We're going out about 6 months, he's 35, he's got a good job and anything he ever needs he just goes and buys it. I dont want to buy him aftershave or just clothes. Anybody got any ideas??? Would really help.

Last year I was in the same boat and in the end I gave him a day with me. I'd been really busy and we hadn't seen each other very much at all. So we had a day together of just being the two of us, we did the sales, had dinner in our favourite restaurant and then went to the cinema. Followed by things that happened at home which I shan't go into!

Nothing too strange or unusual but just lovely to have that whole day with no interruptions.

Something like that can be really special - how about ice skating at an outdoor rink or just a walk in some woods. How lovely would that be for the man who has whatever he wants

The best gifts are meaningful. If you've been together for 6 months, it may be serious if you are still together at Christmas. Make the gift small but memorable. Go out together and enjoy a day choosing a tree in a cut-your-own tree farm. Pick out an ornament together. Share the spirit of christmas.

I'm in a similar position. I've been with my boyfriend for 8 months and the idea of Christmas is quite daunting. He really wants a pong clock (http://mocoloco.com/archives/001766.php ) but it's a bit out of my price range.
I'm thinking of getting him a selection of small gifts, that way he's bound to like at least one of them.
Hows about a bottle of his favorite alcohol (eg. Jack Daniels), a cool shirt or t-shirt, a fun wee gadget (check out boystuff.co.uk) and something really personal from the heart.
Good luck!

Take him out for a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant and you pay for it. Afterwards, get him a single red rose give it to him. The best gift that a person can give another person is not bought with money, but it comes from the heart...Dont forget the nice card to go with it.

Plasticine

that'll be the last thing a 35 year old will expect to get and he can make anything he wants with it.

How about tickets to his favorite sporting game?

A gift card to Best Buy?

Some of his favorite CDs?

A good cool pen?

A sports watch?

This is what I did one time with my now husband:
I made up index cards onto which I wrote things such as, Redeemable for One Free Movie; Good for one back rub; good for a night of pizza and beer. I gave him a bunch of them which he could turn in at any time.

Then I wrote after expiration date: none.

honestly i know how you feel.. i would make him something or buy him somthing that reminds him of you.. like for me i made my boyfriend a "book" about or relationship from the first time we talked.. i used old pictures and like special things from our past. He loved it because it reminded him of all the good times we have shared together

I'm in same position. Look for somethin totally different. Unusualgifts.com or lastminute.com is good for weird stuff. You can get personalised gifts from their too. If he likes chocolate, you could get him a chocolate fountain!!!! They're amazingly gorgeous!!!!!
