Ive had lots of straighteners im currently using vidal sassoon. I find that its the technique you use more than anything. I use a pump of serum mixed with a pump of body moisturiser on damp hair then wait for it to dry a little more. Then I really pull the hair quite hard when im straightening starting at the back then towards the front. It works for me as i have quite thick hair. My hairdresser does this when she strightens my hair so ive adopted the same technique and it seems to work.xx

Remington straighteners. Get the ones coated with ceramic and Teflon. Their quite wide so the straighten quick and good. I use them everyday and only have to straighten my hair in the morning. You can buy them in Argos for around £30-£40. Plus they come with a great warranty and guarantee.

I have naturally very curly hair and find Morphy Richards thermoceramic straighteners are really good. They keep my hair straight all day and my hair is still straight after sleeping on it.
They cost about £35

I have a pair of Babyliss ceramic ones that only cost about £30 from Argos (they may even have gone down since then). I have been using them for years. They're good enough if you take the time to do it properly. You might want to try using certain products before/after too - they can help maintain your style throughout the day.

Well because my hair is naturally super-curly, I had to get it chemically straightened. You can try the beauty supply store and see if they have any at-home straighteners, but I wouldn't reccomend anybody that isn't an experienced hairdresser to do so.

If not, there's always the flat iron, and those shampoos that you can buy that promote sleeker and straighter hair.

its not the straighteners that's your problem , its wot you put on your hair before you straighten it , to hold all day you will need to go to a hair dress and have them test your hair for the best product, because if you have fine hair some stuff will just make your hair look grease

I use hang straight by Aveda, you have to buy it in a salon so it's a little pricey, mine was 18 for a bottle, but it works so well it's worth it.
