He wants me to be his decision maker in his living will as he is single and he does not think his family will carry out his wishes...we broke up on good terms and have remained close friends for well over a year now...is it just me or does this just seem to be an odd request? Should I do it?

I do consider it an honor and we are very close...he knows i love him as a friend...as he does me...i just think it could get uncomfortable, especially if he has a girlfriend and something happens that I have to make a decision on...the one girlfriend he had since our break up hated it enough that he still spoke to me, let alone still had love for me.

It does seem odd but you should consider this an honor. Think he wants YOU to be in his life till the day he dies. Ask yourself can you see him in your life till then? If so do it. Family can be a huge pain in the but during the time of someone is dying. Its very stressful.

it is a slighty odd request, but not in the light of you having been his girlfriend. i wouldn't take it as a bad thing though, it means he knows you care about him, and he trusts you. i don't know how close you two are, but if one of your close female friends asked this of you, would you do it? i can't really tell you whether or not to do it, it is a personal choice, but i wouldn't worry about the past relationship. i would think about the current and futher friendship.

if you broke up on good terms and it's been over 6 months or so, you'll probably remain just friends and probably isn't a problem from a relationship aspect

I think it all depends on how much of his sh*t you wanna snatch up on. You have to ask yourself.. does he have alot of cool stuff that you would like to have ? or would it just be a burden going through it all and deciding what to sell and what to pitch ?

It's all about perspective..

Yes, if you are good friends, why not? I would if my person asked.
