I have photoshop 6.0 and need to open an .eps file. I would like to change and alter the layers, but can't figure out how to do it. Help.....

You need a vector program like illustrator or free hand or draw. You may be able to get a free trial of free hand from Adobe or Macromedia's website, open the .eps file and then save it as a file (preserving the layers) that Photoshop can work with like a jpeg.

eps (encapsulated post script) does not save ur file in layers. a psd (photoshop document) file will and with teh newer version of PS a tif also will keep the layers. if u dont have the original (psd) then u are outta luck....sorry
