You may not want to hear it, but "simply living a life of Lovingkindness, Forgiveness (Matthew 6:12, 14, 15 Read Please, for 1 John 1:9 is totally dependent of whether or not a Christian does Matthew 6:12, 14-15 Read it in the Amplified Bible). And especially not Judging others - at all. Matt.7:1-... and we can never take all the logs out of our own lives. This would take a lifetime. Jesus simply never wants us to judge.
If you've chosen to enter into yahoo answers often, daily - read, pray, then answer some questions, but without criticisms, and Without Judging.
And we are to show forth to people the Lovingkindness and Mercy of Jesus.
Jesus always had mercy and compassion on others.
Christians are always to Love there enemies and Pray for those "that persecute them!" Jesus said this. Not retaliate.
Live the Life and it will draw people to you, they will see something very special in you that is not within themselves, and they will want it. They will ask you questions, even on yahoo answers - there will be open doors.
Just pray, read, wait, pray, and answer with Love, not judging and serve/help others.
Jesus said He came not to bring a sword, but He came to serve. We are His servants to the world.
We are doers of the Word, and this doing is possible to accomplish(Phil.4:13).
We live this type of lifestyle out of love for Jesus. And He said if you love Me, obey My commandments, and they are not burdensome.

When sharing your faith, allow others who are not of the same faith as you discuss theirs as well, without criticizing theirs.
When you discuss Christianity, or your brand of Christianity & show a lack of interest in the other person's beliefs, it will for sure, turn them off.

It should be non judgemental and live and let live. Having Faith in God means that he will take care of it all if it isnt right. We can only Preach and share with others about what works for us, and not expect them to drop everything and join the christian ranks. The best way to teach is by Good Character and Unconditional Love. This would be the true Chrsitian way, unfortunatly it isnt anymore.

Sharing your Faith will turn some people off. You can't water down the message of Jesus. Our job is to share the Good News with the world and let God do the rest! Answer questions honestly, with love and prayer. People who are being convicted by the Holy Spirit often will get offended. I had a pastor say one time to me "What are you going to do, offend them into hell?" Be kind, sympathetic, loving, non-judgmental, but do not hedge on the truth :) I admire you for wanting to help those who so desperately need salvation! Keep up the good work

Having your life mirror your faith, although I think that's what you mean by "walking the walk".
Sharing your experience of following Jesus is a powerful witness because it is first hand experience and from the heart. Sometimes one has to argue against error but if someone is genuinely seeking then it's best to show them what you have gained through your faith and let them spot the error in their own lives for themselves.
After all recognising one's own sinfulness is an important step towards redemption. They won't go to the doctor unless they realise they are sick.

Try bringing it up casually. Using music works. Or just ask whoever your conversing with what their opinions are on religion.
BTW I'm not a Christian but have a Christian background, maybe this question would be better answered if you asked open minded non Christians.
I hitch-hike to travel and have come across a lot of people who share their faith. Maybe pick up a hiker. Not only can you share your faith but you'd also be doing a good deed.

Sharing your testimony. We were all messed up at one time or another, and some of us still have some issues. Just be real and not judgemental of others. You cant win others to see things your way if you are rude or judgemental. Just be open and understand that God loves all people, but he hates the sin. Your job is to work with and love the people. God will deal with the sin.
The package of Christ has not changed for 2000 years, but sometimes we need to change the wrapping paper to make it more apealing to the society we live in. Just be real.

"Let your light so shine that men may see your good works and come to glorify your Father in heaven".
Best way I know is to live it in front of them, let them know that you will keep them in prayer when you hear they are having a problem, offer to help when any opportunity arises, be studied up so you can give an answer for your faith if asked, and ask God for "divine appointments" when the door will be able to share about your faith. Most people are converted by other people, not by ministers, churches, arguments or debates.

You wont turn people off if you share your faith with those who believe the same as you do. I hope your question isn't geared to those who don't believe because then that would be forcing your beliefs on others. Same goes for non-believers. You wouldn't want them convincing you that your beliefs are wrong.

Being respectful. I treat my friends' religions as I want them to treat mine. I approach other religions with respect, and I do expect others to treat me the same. I have friends of many faiths and we get along because of this. I've even had a few of my pagan friends come to church with me (not that I forced them, they always asked to come, not the other way around), and I've attended their rituals.
