No, it is not right. More than likely, it is the parents' fault that the kids are being discipline problems. Lack of structure, boundaries, rules and good parenting. To give up on a child is to walk away from the responsibility they took on when they had the child.

It depends how rotten the children are being and how little they respect their parents.
If the parents have tried and given the child many opportunities to correct a behavior and the child has repeatedly disobeyed and the behavior is so bad that the parents face jail time because of the kid, then the kid deserves to be responsible for themselves.
As for your other question about parents throwing out all your belongings ...
Children don't own anything. Everything they have belongs legally to the parents.

What do you mean, give up on their children? If you mean that a parent has a problem child and they just stop trying to do something about it ... no, its not right. Not in my opinion, anyway. Not everyone can be changed, but when you bring a child into this world, they become your responsibility. If you see them developing problems, its your duty to try to see them through it. If you can't help them, you need to find someone who can. The sad truth is, you may not make a difference. But what kind of parent would you be if you didn't try?

i agree with the girl name Christa because u can't just give up on your children like that if u gonna give up on them just because you have a problem then there is absoluetly no reason to have them. My dad has done the same thing to me and every time we argue i tell him that if he was gonna have a problem with me he should have made me then. But it don't matter if he don't care for me anyway because he never did and my mom didn't eitha so i am use to it. My teen years has been tooken away from me and right now i am 16 bout to have a child and got to learn on my own so i don't kno wat is wrong with some of you parents but get a grip before u mess up your young ones life ther depending on there parents not thereselves

No one should give up on their children.
Each child needs a shoulder, just as
we as adults need one.
children need an ear, and why not?
