Im a dental nurse and I have worked with male and female dentists and they were both lovely, I dont think there is a dentist who sees only male/female patients but if the patient specifies their preference im sure they wont mind. Proceedures are generally the same. What exactly is the prob and maybe i could be more specific?

I have had both male and female dentists. To be honest they're all much of a muchness. It just depends if you get a nice person or not. Can not imagine there are specific dentists that only see one sex. Maybe you should just try and find a female dentist if you're that bothered about it? but what the other guy said is true, is hard finding a dentist in the UK full stop. wouldn't not take one if he's a man.

Since the human mouth is the same for males and females I doubt you'll find a dentist that works exclusively on one sex. It actually would strike me as odd and NOT go to that dentist. Besides- there would probably be a lawsuit against anyone who had a practice like that on the grounds of discrimination for the reason stated above- no difference in the mouth between sexes.

It would be extremely difficult for a dentist in the US to limit their practice to one gender only. As stated above, there are no significant differences in pathology between male and female mouths - not like dealing with other parts of the body.

Aside from the potential of discrimination suits, there is the disadvantage of limiting new patients (and thereby revenue) to only one-half of the population. It's hard enough to stay in business, especially for a new dentist.

No there is no dentist that works only on males or females because it is ILLEGAL. It is called discrimination if a dentist would only work on one sex.
I have been worked on by male dentists and 1 female dentist.

i desire you're arranged for a great sort of offended solutions, calling you sexist or stupid. I comprehend your difficulty; there is study (perchance no longer sturdy) that shows how adult men's and girls people's brains are different, how each have strengths over the different on a chemical point. in spite of the undeniable fact that, this is plenty to vast of a query to get a smart answer. attempt out your new dentist, and then come to a sort in case you like her.

Maybe you should think about becoming a gynaecologist, if you just want to work with women. Dentists work with both genders.
