no, no and no! acne starts on the inside, and to beat it, so should you! washing does help.
without going to a perscription, start off drinking 64 ounces of water a day! this will flush the toxins from your system, and start clearing your skin. just washing will help, but it will not clear the acne!
to get it nipped in the bud, go to your doctor, he or she can help you get it for the most part, clear. good luck!! :)

No it does not. Acne is caused as a result of bodily processes that occur a lot deeper in your skin layer than washing your face can help. It does help, it cleans the surface of your skin, but it can't like seep half an inch through your pores and clean out your sebacious glands. You would need to see a dermatologist and get medicine for that, if you only have minor acne then just use stuff like cetaphil or benzoyl peroxide which is probably the strongest over the counter acne medicine. It comes in stridex non-alcohol pads now

That is a start. Actually, acne is spread and caused by TOUCHING the face. Pimples are infected blemishes. Problem is we are always touching our face. We do not even realize it sometimes. Our hands and finger tips are the dirtest part of our body and carry the most foreign bacteria from touching everything. Then we forget and rub our nose, rest our chin in our hand..put our forehead into our palm while listening to something..and many times we actually touch our face and find a little "rough" area and pick at it. All of this with bacteria laden fingers. This is what CAUSES acne. This is what will stop acne...along with good face washing habits, plenty of water, antibacterial soap with frequent hand washing and NEVER, EVER touch your face with unwashed hands. If you do get blemishes, try something like PersaGel 10.

It depends on WHAT you wash your face with and how serious the acne is. Usually just washing your face won't help if you are in puberty and have trouble skin - you will have to use special cosmetics for it. But washing your face is the basic and most important part ot keeping your skin clear - it has to be clean first.

this chick at school tried so many things... i think these worked best for her:

- tea tree oil - it really stinks and it is poisionous if you swollow it
- believe it or not but honey worked really really well.... spread it on for 15mins a day 4 times a week...
- henna
- padding cornflour before going to bed - it will dry the pimple/s up by the time you get up in the morning, the pimple/s would've shrunk...
- arum - an indian remedy made from arum cane...

or if you want you can just simply wash your face with water everyday and see what happens
you can use a dove soap bar or as i stongly suggest, even though a little costly, pro-active.

It doesn't "completely" take it away, but it helps. I wash my face every morning with hot water. But I use a natural soap 2 times a day and my face has never been clearer. The sent is "Peppermint" and I found it at a booth at a flea market! Keep an eye out for it though, it really works.

It depends on your skin. If you have bad acne try washing your face with noxema followed by sea breeze then wait an hour wash with soap and water. Do this three times a day and you should see a result.

He.. No! you need a cleaner that will go dip into your skin/pours to help remove the extra oils that your skin provides (caused from sweating or make-up). My cleaner is alcohol. I usse it at least once a month, but normally twice.
