Because it makes them feel better about their sorry excuse for a life. As long as they have put a little bit of the doubt and hurt that they have had in their life in you they feel better about themselves. Don't stress it hun. Try and let what they say roll off your back because that's all they are trying to do is know that they made you feel like sh*t....

idk but the person who raised me all my life did that to me. they would yell at me and i would cry and then the person would tell at me more for crying! WTH? well it wasnt a bf but it was my own guardian :(
