You hear about all these people that say God told them to kill their whole family. Many might say Satan was talking to them, then how would you really know? Maybe God did really want him to kill, remember he had whole armies once killing nonbelievers before.

It might help. There are no gods, so none would be talking to you.

And the "God would never tell you to kill" argument is obviously wrong. If you accept that the Bible really does tell of God's antics, then you just have to look at the stories of racial cleansing that God did throughout the Bible. According to it, God told people to kill the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, among others.

No No..God wouldn't tell you to kill your family. Really according to my church God is not going to talk to you. If he wanted you to know something he would send an angel to tell you something. I'm not an expert but I do know God will not talk to you. Just like people cannot see God and live to tell about it. That just wont happen. If you hear God talking to you seek help! Seek help from a psycholigist or a church but do something. If you hear God and he tells you to do something bad then it's not God, it's the devil.

God has asked a lot of people to kill in the past. I don't know why people act like killing is something he isn't capable of.

This is a good question.

1st I would ask if you have a relationship with Christ. God is not going to talk to you if your heart is not His. If you are, I don't think it is impossible for God to audibly speak to you...though I believe it to be rare since we have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit to communicate to us. If you don't I would seek help.

It is true that God worked through people to display His wrath against sinners in the Old Testament. That is why we are to fear God...He displays His just character when people are punished for their sins.

However, those moments in Bible history were recorded to point to the redeemer to come...Jesus Christ. Today, for someone to use God as an excuse to kill people in cold blooded murder is not right. It goes against God's character as one who is patient, and faithful, and loving. He longs for none to eternally perish. For someone to kill their parents for their sins is the human being acting as judge and not God.

i don't know if you should seek it if god spoke to you but i don't think it would hurt well as long as you never mention to the psyc that god told you to kill cause then the pysc will think you're crazy and will have you commited. Science & God don't mix.

If it happens more than once then yes. If it's a one off, account it to stress and ignore it.

I've imagined that someone called my name once or twice but I don't sleep as much as I should so I just put it down to that.
