Good point, they can't, logically speaking.

That is pretty weird. It's faulty use of logic. Unless.........maybe there are some people who think God is real but don't put Faith in it? Like how your Parents say, "I believe in you" meaning they support and love you and think you are capable of anything - maybe that's how those people are using the word believe? Because your Parents think you are real but they don't have to believe in you using that meaning of the word.
I have heard this from a very few wavering Christians before, that they don't believe in God or that they hate God. Maybe this is where Christians get the idea that atheists believe in God but deny Him instead of simply thinking that God is not real?

It's impossible. If you hate a thing, you must acknowledge its existence.
One can, however, hate the IDEA of a thing. I'm an atheist and frankly, I hate that some people believe in God because I view in in all sorts of negative ways. But it's the belief I hate, not the object of the belief, because to me, that object simply doesn't exist. Sometimes this distinction can be overlooked.

If I say i hate "god", and I'm sure I have stated words to that effect before, I am talking about the idea of god and the harm it can do. I will also admit that this idea of god will do god at times too.

I,ve seen those bitter words here on this site and I ,ve heard them on the streets.
When someone says things like that ,in actuality they have said so much more with those few words and that's where I can see that they are people that actually are hurt by something in life . Blaming God for their misfortune .

I've heard that the statement "I don't believe in God" simply proves that there is a God in existence for them to not believe in. Or something like that there ... :)

No, they can not. Since they do not believe in God, they can not say they hate Him or even love Him.

I don't believe in god and I don't hate him neither. I can't possibly hate someone I don't believe exist in the first place.

I don't know. Who said that? Every atheist I know would say "How can I hate something I don't believe in?" This sounds a little fishy to me.
