People here may be getting tired of seeing me post this one experience over and over, but this is the first experience I had with a ghost and the most convincing in that it turned me from an unbeliever into a believer of the paranormal.
In 1972 I was living in a small one bedroom house that the family of an old man bought for him to spend the rest of his days in, and he died there. I was unaware of this until this experience.
One night I woke up and there was an old man standing at the foot of my bed. At first I thought I was dreaming and made sure I was awake, and then I got scared and started yelling at him to leave. He pointed his finger at me and said " No, you get out of my house" then he vanished in thin air.
I told a old class mate who was visiting his parents across the street about this and he asked me what the old man looked like and when I described the old man, my friend said I had just described the old man who did in that house a few months earlier.

I have experienced this and I have shared it. There are many groups on yahoo that focus on these things. Why don't you look into some of them. There is a lot of good information out there if you only take the time to do a little research.

I have five brothers and when we were younger we lived in a house that used to be a fortune tellers home. Lots of strange things happened. At night our clothes would fall off their hangers, our shoes that we had on the floor laid out for school would flop around, when anyone went into a room by themselves the door would close behind them. My oldest brother said he could see black shapes floating all around the house. All of us including my mom felt strange in that house. We would have continuous nightmares the whole time we lived there. Thankfully we moved out and nothing like that has ever happened to us again. There really is a spirit world, we believe it was demons. Angels must have watched over us.

when I was younger living at home , families living room always gave me the creeps my skin would have goose bumps shared this with my dad and he had the same experiences that's the only room that caused me unease .. after leaving home and going to college i did research on the home and land , I found that in the 1800's a storm had forced a whole family to live without food for a spell and two perished in that room..so maybe i had a ghostly encounter ....

I worked in a place where a guy had committed suicide in an upstairs apartment and sometimes we would find things that were on like 6' shelves knocked off - things that were to heavy to just have fallen on the floor themselves, and it would have a creepy feeling to the building especially at night. But nothing more than things being knocked off shelves.

Yes I have experienced this and it is horrifying at first. I told family members and I was not embarrassed at all, I found out too after telling them that they experienced and saw things too, it was nice to know that I was not the only one.

We have a ghost that only walks upstairs when we're downstairs. Doesn't happen constantly, but enough that family and friends hear it. Its to the point now that when someone asks who's upstairs we laugh. Doesn't scare me , because i've seen three ghost in my life.
