Personally, I don't think "diets" work. If you are looking for a quick fix, don't read any further.

In the past, I probably have been on most all of the diets out there. If you need a diet book, I have a bookcase full of them. Yes, I lost weight but at what cost? Only to put it back on plus some.

Eating smaller, well balanced meals and good nutritious snacks
along with exercise WORKS! It's the only healthy way to go.
Once you start (and it won't be easy) it becomes a way of life.
Exercise can start with walking. Even a casual stroll is better than nothing. Start out slowly and you will be surprised at how soon you will be picking up the pace. Or try rebounding. (it's a small trampolene)

I was an emotional eater. I didn't eat because I was hungry.
I had to make changes in my life and decided it was time to eat healthier.

I have not had a cold or any kind of sickness in over 3 years. I'm a believer in the fuel I put into my body.

Stop eating all that unnecessary stuff! You must have changed the way you eat after quitting smoking! You need dietary help ie go to a dietitian or try to eat like you did when you were smoking! Eat some (raw) carrots...or why not celery (celery burns more calories than it brings to the body-which means if you eat only celery you will loose weight-not a good idea though!! :))
If you have not changed the way you eat after quitting smoking you must have some kind of metabolic disorder (which means you should see a doctor).
There is no miracle to loosing weight, pills, drugs etc. A human being should be able to eat everything and anything without getting fat - in moderation. Did you notice how the average weight of the world population (in industrial countries) has gone up...with all these diet/light products. Try to eat the way people did in the 70's. Skip the fast food, ready-meals, try to do some real home made cooking...with sensible ingredients...you don't need cream to do a sauce! Just take a little bit of butter, add a little flour and then milk. Bring it to boil so that it thickens and then you can add some cheese or whatever you like.... if you need some tips or help just let me know! I'm sure you have the answer yourself! Moderate eating, moderate exercising (a walk now and then) - don't overdo anything! JUST AVOID ALL THESE ALREADY PREPARED FOODS!!!! I mean people cannot even make a dish of pasta these days!!!
Good luck! (and if there is anything let me know)

First of all, I commend you in wanting to get healthy! That is a great start.
What I do is eat 5-6 small meals a day. This speeds up your metabolism, and makes you feel fuller faster. ALL HEALTHY meals. Watch your portions. Cut out soda, fast food, fried food, etc.
Start an exercise regimen. In order to lose weight you MUST do cardio. I work out 4 times a week for at least 45 minutes (which really is not that long). I will do 45 minutes on the treadmill (walking briskly because honestly I HATE running) and some strength training. I occasionally hit up a sculpting/pilates/aerobics class.
I hope this helps and do not worry...if you want to lose weight, you will!

I would try cutting your carbohydrates to almost nothing and replace with protein. Because unused carbs are converted to glycogen, a fat stored in the liver. Like an Atkins diet, my dad lost 60-70 pounds off of it relatively fast, just make sure you maintain healthy nutrition in the diet that you choose. Or you could do caloric restriction, just eat less and exercise more. However you will feel the "hurt" from this option and it will probably take more time but it may be a better way to "keep" the weight off over tiem.

My aunt is a naturopath / health nut, and her and all her friends did this diet, and it works, the only problem is keeping the weight off afterwards, which I suppose is a problem with a lot of diets! It's called the lemonade diet, it sounds stupid, I know, but you do it for a bout 10 days, and apparently you start to lose about 2 pounds per day, but it's not unhealthy. Anyway, look it up on Google or something, it's just called the Lemonade diet. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Good morning to you. First you should be commended on quiting smoking, that was a major deal. Congratulations. Second is diets never work. How many people have you known that have been on a diet only to gain back more than they have lost. What you need is life style change. Proper eating habits, including low glycemic foods, plus a nutrional program to help with your health and also exercise. You don't need to go to a gym, if you don't want to. But you do need to do something, walk for while, lift small weights while watching tv or listening to music, anything to get your blood flowing. If you need help findinga good program, let us know.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

I'm sorry, I simply under no circumstances fairly understood the men and women who went to the sort of low calorie consumption, and KNEW it. I grew to be anorexic, however I did not KNOW I used to be doing it. There is not any rationale to consume the sort of low quantity, and deliver your self into hunger mode. You will preserve directly to each piece of meals you get, you'll unfastened curiosity in the whole thing, and daily will probably be torture. If you're a youngster or teen consume round 1500 energy to shed pounds! When retaining, you'll be able to consume 2000-2500 all relying for your metabolism. For you, I might endorse 14000, with exersize. Then you'll shed pounds! Take a seem at intermittent fasting as good! DO NOT EAT WHAT YOU SUGGESTED, DO NOT! Also, upload a few protein(egg, fish, and so forth. Lean meats) , and DO NOT BE SO STRICT, it'll be your downfall. Moderation is the important thing, consume healthful truffles! Also, you'll be able to attempt to difference up what you consume! quinoa, and brown rice are well carbs, and smetimes you'll be able to have purple meat.. Do now not consume the identical matters, or the identical quantity of meals daily. It won't paintings, difference it up! well good fortune, and DON'T STARVE YOURSELF

A diet should be seen as a lifestyle change, so dont start something you can't maintain. I would recommend cooking all your food yourself and make sure youre buying fresh produce and lean meats. Cook with very little oil and salt. Try to avoid buying anything processed (such as boxed dinners) and do cardio 3-5 times per week for 20-30 min at least. Good luck!

the hilton head diet.. it's a paperback and 5 bucks.. it contains 7 different diets that are safe and have been renamed several times by plagarists.

the best thing is to NOT eat junk food, drink soda or too much sugar, suppliment it with a good excercise program and you'll be fine.

remember that it's fat and not weight you are trying to get rid of. so don't starve yourself or listen to anyone who has a lose weight quick diet.. and also avoid the low or no carb diets because you could end up with ketosis.

good luck
