My hair is very dark brown and I cannot decide. Its just like my avatars, color, length, and style. My color is between a level 2 and a 3. I just want something different and I am doing it on Friday. Should I get redlights, caramel colored highlights, blonde highlights? Or should I just get a completely new color, base and all?

Redken has a new line of single process high lift and deposit colors for levels 5 and darker. They're called Double Fusion Reds, Browns, and Blondes. The benefit to using them for highlights is that it's one process to lift and tone, so it's faster, less expensive, and it's applied only where it's wanted. There is no brassy undertone like you have with bleach, so when the reds fade you're left with a more natural looking caramel highlight.

If you are wanting to go with the highlights...then I would go with caramel and deep auburn....don't go with anything light/blonde...keep your hair more on the "autumn" color spectrum...or if you are wanting a complete different look....go with jet black like someone else mention before....

I am sure that whatever you do, you will look great!

if your hair is dark brown, you should try auburn highlights, and if you want to colour all of your hair, dont get lighter then your eyebrows or you'll look like a freak!

you should get hightlights in carmal just to see if you like it. it wouldnt be wise to color it all and not be happy with the out come. plus with hightlights you wouldn't have to keep getting touch ups once you get new growth.

Try it jet black.
