People aren't being mean to Muslims, they just reject their way of life and how it is affecting us. If you take the time and really get into what they actually believe in you will find very little love in their teachings and a whole lot of violence including self destruction for what they believe in. Women who will take their babies aboard a plane with bottle filled explosives knowing her baby will die also isn't a message of love. No maybe not all of the Muslims are acting out this violence but it is part of their inner life. A reformed Muslim is different.

You are correct. The only problem is you cannot know for sure which ones are good and peaceful or which ones are here to bomb us. I realize the same applies to any group living her but the Muslims just seem to be under the most scrutiny at this point. There are good and bad from all over the world and we do need to be more tolerant and learn to treat others like we want to be treated.

Well, that is exactly what is going on in my mind now. The more I read about Muslims, the more I am confused. One Muslim participant here told me that there is clear distinction between Muslim religion and Muslim culture.
Ok, here is my point and I would like to be corrected, if I am wrong:
1 - Islam is beautiful religion, teaching peace and love, woman is equal to man, but has to remain modest. True Muslims according to their religion are peaceful.
2 - Culture does not always go hand in hand with religion. Some individuals or groups do not behave as Islam tells them to. They oppress women, they 'kill infidels', support or they are terrorists.
Am I right on this? I am confused and would also like to clear out this mass. In general I also believe that Islam is peaceful religion and that Muslims all of them cannot be evil and bad (?), but the 'bad' ones have created this negative image and now unfortunately this image refers to all the Muslims.

Because a bunch of fools ASUMED that ALL muslems are terrists and feel the need to bash them. Basicaly lumping the whole group together. It's like one rotten apple the ruins the whole bunch u know.
Also then theres the athiests who say every religion is a cult bla bla bla.
A little reminder remember what happened to the Japanese in this country during WW2? They were put in interment camps b/c people feared them and asumed the worst just b/c one group of evil people did something terrible. It's like history is repeating itself except this time the President has more sense then to do something drastic like that.

because they are christians. and they think that you are the wrong religion. i am a non believer. some times SOME muslim people can get on my nerves, but i know many other muslims for whom i have the greatest respect for. one of the people that treated me like her own daughter is a muslim, and a great one too. i respect and love her, and am not against them at all. ALL I WANT TO SAY IS THAT INDIVIDUALS ARE INTELLIGENT, CROWDS ARE STUPID. all the best.

This is just a guess, but I think part of it is fear, and part is ignorance,( not stupidity,) but ignorance in their belief.
I think they feel that all Muslims are terrorists, and this is not true as you pointed out.
We all need to be more tolerant with the difference of others and take time to know the individual and not fear or judge them .because of the few.

Yes my dear friends ,others go astray, but we as muslim following islam should always be good to every one and keep faith and trust in Allah, and as in surrah "qul ya ayyuhal kafirroon" we should try to make our self understand let others live their way and we our way,Actual it means dont go for disputes for religion.
Be always helpful and freindly to every fellow being as Allah created them also, we have no rights to say any one wrong .only Allah Knows who is the wrong doer, people who are non muslim Allah might Like their deeds too, May allah give them also the right path , a good and true muslim will always respect them too and help them, as all are the creation of Allah,We have to respect his creation we have no right to destroy this is what islam teaches us
Islam is a very beautifull religion and it teaches to spread peace and love.As Allah has given every human a stomach we have to look after "Deen and Dunyah", we inspite of religious also should struggle hard and work in this world and earn bread, shelter for ourself and our families living and also earn enough, that can make us capable enough to even give Zakkat (help the needy), Allah likes people who worship him as well as be responsible enough in the world and earn good deeds in this world.
Our Prophets(pbup) were always good calm and always taught not to fight ,spread peace and love, we should follow them and make Allah happy,

I've NEVER been mean to a Muslim in my life. I'm an Asatruar, and I've been mean to christians because they've been mean to me. (But never to one that was polite.) However, every Muslim I've ever met in the flesh has been unfailingly polite. So why be mean?

Because people have the tendency to judge others by what some do. There is good and bad in all people. If we could only live and let live life would be so much better.
