Me & my boyfriend of 8 years broke up 5 months ago, since then I have met several guys, there is one that I am kinda interested in. My dilemma now is my ex has found out about him and now has had this epiphany that he wants to marry me now and can't live with out me. My ex is now telling me every thing I waited 8 years to hear. And I don't know if I should get back with my ex because it is the safe move, or should I move on and see what what my chances are with this new guy ( oh and by the way, I just found out last nite he does have some type of feeling for me)????????????? What should I do???????????????

You have a hard but simple choice to make. Either you are in love with your ex enough to marry him and spend the rest of your life with him, or you're not. This other dude is irrelevant. If you are in love with the ex enough to marry him, then marry him.

DO NOT just get back with your ex unless you are sure you want to marry him. Trust me, that's just a mistake and a merry-go-round of misery. It's either on or its not.

If you don't want to marry your ex, go ahead and give the new guy a shot, but make sure you COMPLETELY end it with the ex.

Your ex had 8 years not to mention the 5 months you've been apart. All of a sudden now that he hears your dating someone else he's coming out of the wood works. Well I think you should tell him its too little too late. Do you really want to marry someone who didn't ask you about the 2nd or 3rd year you were together ?? Move on, you spent enough time with the ex.

Are you still in love with your ex? If not I think you should not get back with him. Even if you still are in love with him, you should think about why the relationship ended in the first place. Your ex is not the first guy to have this reaction and in my experience they have not changed at all. He just cant stand the idea of you being happy with somebody else. Whatever decision you make, be sure it is what you really want, but I think you will be better off by moving on.

Follow your heart and don't let your gut or head tell you what to do. Just member your ex is an ex for a reason but then again you did give each other 8 years of each others lives.

Is your ex just telling you what you want to hear. Then when you go back to him will he revert to his old self?
