Yoga, should be great for you, it's gentle, and contrary to popular belief you don't need to be a contortionist to do it or have to be spiritual in any way! It could actually help with your blood pressure whilst keeping you supple, flexible and very toned if practised regularly.
I recommend the Katy appleton DVD set which has three DVDs at three levels of intensity so you can progress at your own pace. I think this is available on the amazon website but you should be able to get it from any DVD retailer. I can also recommend the MTV yoga DVD for a modern twist, although if you would prefer a more traditional approach try a Rodney yee DVD.
Hope that helps :-)

If you feel really lazy, you could use the electric toning pads, they come in a little kit and you just slap them on your muscles and sit there for say 20 Min's a day, there not as good as exercises but they do make a difference i used them in the first couple of days after an operation on my groin. It was great at keeping my existing muscles as they were before the op.

are you on medication for your blood pressure? I have slighltly high bp 140/95 ish...and i take a betablocker everyday and it totally controls it so its in the normal range, so that means i ccan do whatever exercise anyone else can do. if you have high bp it needs to be controlled thru meds, or else it can damage your organs. if you are on meds and its contolled, you should be able to do any exercise...in fact im sure your doc would recommend it, because being in better shape will naturally lower your bp.

Get walking as this is easy and cheap. Any exercise will help bring down your blood pressure. Stop eating any fatty food and ask your doctor about drugs to help you. When your weight comes down to a sensible level then your BP will also come down.

Swimming, as others have said, is REALLY good for you. Also, try lifting things around your house like water bottles or canned food. Do 2-3 sets of 8-15 reps. Bicep curls, kickback, and overhead press are easy and good for you.

exercise in moderation will actually lower your blood pressure...talk to your gp about a fitness program that will work for you --such as brisk walking.
