Coffee is what I think. Definately not peanut butter. Popcorn comes in close, but that smell just isn't as strong as brewing coffee.

It has to be coffee because even in places that have never heard of popcorn or peanut butter they sit around drinking coffee.

I say coffee. Coffee is made almost everywhere. So you can walk into a restaurant or store and not smell the coffee. Plus people make it everyday.

I think it would be Coffee (fresh) I can smell it all the time but above these i would say fried chicken every time we go out if we get near a place that sells it I smell it.
