I was told that Thomas Alva Edison invented the light bulb. I went to the Edison House in NJ. The drawings of the light bulb was there. The artist's name was Lewis Latimer. Then I read something in the Black Inventors book and this thing is huge. It's no doubt that Edison invented the bulb but he did have some help from Latimer. He was an exceptional draftsman and he drew patents for Edison to present his invention. Latimer was an ex-slave that turned his life around and achieved many things such as co-inventing an improved of a train water closet, a bathroom compartment for railroad trains.
