if when your on a diet people tell you stay away from fizzy juice but drink water.... then is fizzy water not good???

They mean sweet drinks with phosphorous compounds. Seltzer, which is plain water and carbon dioxide, is fine.

Sweet drinks have little or no nutrition in them, are high in calories, and the fizz often comes from phosphor compounds that are not good for the bones.

Some flavored waters have an additive "aspartame" in them because of the nutrisweet. It can actually make you more likely to have memory loss in the future as well as alzheimers. I dont actually know in what quantity you would have to drink for it to affect you though...

Some people have issues with carbonation (some notice bloating or skin breakouts) but some don't, kind of like peanuts or dairy . . . OK for some, not for others.

Fizz is carbonation (just gas). I dont think it's acutally bad for you. Just make sure there are no additives in the water.
