The half-life of marijuana is 4-7 days. That is the time it would take to break down half the marijuana present in the body.

Herbal remedies abound at clearing the substance from the body faster, but none have been adequately researched for clear effectiveness.

depending on how much thc was in the weed you have. the tch from the weed build up in your fatty tissue which can be hold there for about 30 days .

The drugs you did last night, the drugs you did last week and the drugs you did last New Year’s Eve—they’re all in there, embedded or encoded in your urine, sweat, hair, saliva and blood. Not so long ago, the body was inviolate—a temple the law could not enter—but bad science and contemptible courts have since combined to make drug testing a part of American life, giving rise to a multibillion-dollar-per-year industry that exists solely to break the body into measurable pieces and detail your private life for the benefit of your employer or your government. Despite the Fourth Amendment’s clear guarantee of a right to privacy, courts have granted increasingly broad authority for random, suspicionless drug testing (see timeline on the next page), and what was unthinkable in this country a generation ago is taken for granted today. But the news isn’t all bad.

“The number of employers conducting drug testing is in a long-term decline,” Lewis Maltby, president of the National Workrights Institute, recently told HIGH TIMES. “And most employers who do test, only test for pre-employment.”

Maltby cites figures from American Management Association member surveys that show a steady decline in private-sector drug testing, from a peak of 81 percent in 1996 down to 62 percent in 2004. Why the drop?

“Employers are beginning to realize that drug testing is not producing any improvement in the bottom line,” Maltby says. “Most employers who bought into drug testing did so because the government and the drug-test industry promised it would increase safety and productivity, and that promise was not kept.”

Still, even as these economic realities finally sink in with the managers of corporate America, the federal government continues to tout drug testing as a magic-bullet solution—and cannabis smokers remain caught in the crosshairs. Remember, marijuana is by far the most widely used illicit drug and therefore the most widely detected substance in drug testing. Twenty-five million Americans smoked pot last year, and THC stays in the body for a relatively long time compared to other drugs—two factors that make marijuana the ideal target for the drug-test market. In fact, it’s fair to say that a widespread drug-test industry couldn’t remain in existence if marijuana weren’t outlawed.

So there’s good news and bad news. As always, a stoner needs to stay alert and know the facts—because despite the popular joke, you really can study for a drug test.

A. I don’t smoke, but I definitely think it should be legal, provided that it is regulated like alcohol (no minors, and no driving). It makes absolutely no sense that cannabis is illegal while alcohol and tobacco (both of which are MORE harmful and MORE addictive) are legal. Legalization would: - Create thousands of jobs - Deal a massive blow to drug cartels, which would suddenly be without 75% of their income - Provide an enormous windfall for the government, which would bring in billions in taxes and SAVE billions more on law enforcement (ending Prohibition played a big part in getting the U.S. out of the Great Depression) - Allow police, courts and prisons to focus their resources on DANGEROUS criminals, rather than potheads

I hope they aren't doing a hair follicle test. Then you are screwed. Your hair will test positive for at least 3-6 months.

There is nothing you can do....for either the urine or hair. None of those detox/clean system products work. They are a waste of money. And if your urine is clear from so much water---they will take a hair sample AND send the urine to the lab for more testing. They are going to find it.

Please quit using. I'm telling you--the panic-factor will go away.

You are not very likely to turn up positive from two hits, two weekends ago, but they sell a body cleaner (tea) at any health food store. It works great. Don't use golden seal root as they usually test for it.

It's supposed to take 30 days to get out of your system. You should look into taking Goldenseal Root and drinking lots of water. But, due to the small amount you smoked, you should be fine.

it stays in your system for 30 days I know i smoke it everyday and love it. you can buy golden seal (tastes like crushed up flintstone vitamins its gross)which will get rid of it for you or you can tell them that your taken cough syrup or over the counter medicines which show up just like pot does. use some elses pee but put it in your bra because you have to put you personally belongings in a locker and they watch you do it. they'll pour some **** in the toilet what it is i don't know but its blue

doesn't matter how much you've smoked it still shows up

Relax, 2 hits aint gonna show up especially if your not a smoker. As long as thats all you did and drink nothing but water until the minute you take the test, you will be fine.

It really depends on what test method they use. If they use a GMS you are screwed the results are going to come up positive.

If they use those cheap kits, you should be in the clear, depending on how much you took in and your metabolic rate.
