Bono is more Christian than almost any of us here. And oh yes, he is a Christian, no matter what anyone tells you here, in belief and deed.
In an interview he said, "I’m holding out for Grace. I’m holding out that Jesus took my sins onto the Cross, because I know who I am, and I hope I don’t have to depend on my own religiosity."
If that isn't an orthodox statement of Christian soteriology.... well I've never heard one.
True, he may not go about going "Lord, Lord." But we already know what Jesus will say to the "Lord, Lord" types. (Matthew 7:22 if you don't.)

Many will say they are a christian but are they? Look for the fruits that show they are a follower of Christ. If they bear no fruits that are Christ like then I would question if they are saved. Even ask them when they got saved. Can't be saved from birth cause that goes aganist the word of God.

No, absolutely not. Many equate 'good deeds" with Christianity. Bono "appears" in public to be a "good" person, and that's about as good as it gets. But he is not a Christian.

Yes. He has a Protestant parent and a Catholic parent. He professes to be somewhere in-between. He wears a Rosary around his neck but, it is not clear if he prays it or just wears it.
