John 7:16 -
” 16 Jesus, in turn, answered them and said: “What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me"

If Jesus is the Almighty God, all the teachings should be his also, even if he left his heavenly life temporarily. But since Jesus is the Son of God, not equal with the Father, therefore he can said the text stated above. Remember teachings ARE NOT a person's attributes.

I agree. Here are more Scriptures that prove that the God we worship, is also the God that Jesus worships. Consider what Jesus says:
JOHN 20:17---Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God." (Jesus calls his heavenly Father, his God.")
REVELATION 3:12-- " He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name."
(Jesus again declaring that he has a God, the same as we do, thereby falsifying the pagan trinity doctrine even further.)
People insist on believing in the doctrines of men, instead of what the Bible really teaches. "Babylon the Great" is intent on misleading as many as possible before her end comes.
No one knows the day or the hour when that will happen. Jesus said he does not know either. (More proof that Jesus and God are not equal) Only Almighty God knows that, and by the signs we have been given, it will be soon. (MARK 13:32)

"I and the Father are one.
If you have seen me you have seen the Father.

"Do these sound familiar? Jesus saying He and God are one in the same.

"In the beginning was God, and the Word(Jesus) was with God, and the Word(Jesus) was God."

Jesus is not Almighty God. He is the son of God. Above is a typical defense of a doctrine that is not supported in Scripture.

Take a look at the first Bible "proof" of the trinity. Stone Rolled uses John 10:30, where it says: "I and the Father are one." Do you see the trinity idea here? I don't see it. If Jesus did mean that he and the Father are the same--which they are not--I only see TWO persons here. Do you see a third person? No. So how does this prove that God is 3 persons in one? I doesn't.

How about the next "proof"? John 14:9 quotes Jesus, saying: "He that has seen me has seen the Father also." In trinity "proof" here? How can there be since this verse is only talking about TWO persons, not three? And besides, how can Jesus and his Father be the same or even equal since Jesus said at John 14:28: "The Father is GREATER than I am"?

How about the last trinity "proof"? John 1:1 says in some, but not all Bibles: "...the Word was God." Can you see the thought here that is God composed of three co-equal persons here? I don't see it. And besides, how can the Word be WITH God and BE God at the same time? He can't. It doesn't make sense. And if you would look a little further in the same chapter of John you will find these words in verse 18: "No man has seen God at ANY time." So, how then can Jesus be God? He can't.

Some people who are desperate to prove that Jesus is God are quick to say that since Jesus can forgive sins, he MUST be God. Does that harmonize with the Bible? No. Jesus can forgive sins because, as he said at Matt. 28:18: 'All authority has been GIVEN me in heaven and on earth." Part of that authority was to forgive sins. And who gave Jesus that authority? His Father, Jehovah.

The belief that Jesus is God or part of a triune godhead goes contrary to the Bible. No true Christian believes it.

Economic Trinity

Father, and from the Father, the Son, and from the Son, the Spirit.

Really confusing concept and one that no human mind can completely grasp. This is one of the beautiful pictures of spiritual enlightenment that Christianity does carry.

Alright. First, let's establish that the Father is not the "father" of Jesus, but it is the only relationship established on Earth for us to understand the concept that Jesus came from Yaweh (NOTE: Not Elohiym, since that is the Hebrew plural word defining the Trinity, i.e. 'In the beginning God' as a translation of 'b'resit Elohiym').

The Father (Yaweh) is an eternal being
The Son (Jesus) is a coequal and eternal being with the Father
The Spirit (Pnuema in the Greek) is a coequal and eternal being with the Father and the Son.
Wrap your brain around that.

There is no difference in equality among the Trinity - it is an economic Trinity, meaning that there are different roles and authorities (again, NOT inequalities, for instance are you equal with George Bush as a human being even if he is president?)

The Father loves the world. The Son loves the Father. The Father sent, the Son obeyed, and the Spirit descended to bless the work of the Son.

It's a tough concept, one we will never understand. Honestly, i think i am going to get to Heaven and it is going to be completely different from what i imagine.

hope that helps.

You misunderstand God's Triune nature. Let me give you an example that puts this in perspective:

A man is the son of another man;
The first man also has a son;
therefore, he's BOTH a son and a father, isn't he? If his father told this man something, and the man repeated it, but he BELIEVED it also, the teaching is his father's, but the concept is also his own.

Jesus DID say He is God. But His nature is distinctly different than His Father's. Likewise, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into the world to indwell all believers; the Spirit is distinctly different than both the Father and the Son, yet the Spirit is also God.

Peace.

Jesus Himself said He did not consider it robbery to say He was equal with the Father. I think of the trinity as in Jesus' baptism. Jesus in the water, the Holy Spirit descending like a dove, and the voice of the Father.

Also, for more proof, Jesus accepted worship, Jesus forgave sins (which was why so many religious leaders wanted to kill Him because only God can forgive sins)

The jig is up fellas! This guy's figured us out! Pack up the revival tent and go home!

Seriously, the Trinity is a mystery, you can't fully comprehend it. The Trinity concept came out of studying many books of the Bible for years and praying for understanding. My interpretation would be that Jesus meant he didn't come up with this stuff here on earth, it's God's truth that has existed for eternity prior to Jesus becoming a man.

The Bible isn't meant to be picked apart and taken piecemeal like that. If you really want to understand it, and not just throw arguements around, read it and think about it. It helps to find a faith tradition and study it with them. Smarter people than you or I have studied it through the centuries, and some of them have pretty good insights.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phil. 2:8

Jesus humbled himself and took on the nature of sinful mankind. In this form, He was fully God, yet fully man. He did not use any of His Godlike attributes for selfish reasons but relied fully on God and the Holy Spirit for strength and inspiration, thus giving us a pattern to do the same. In this manner, all that God showed Him he taught and did. He did not use His power to see the future or to lessen his burdens. He claimed total reliance on God. That is why He called Him God and Father, to show His human need and dependance upon God. To claim that the teachings were His own would be to deny reliance on God and the Holy Spirit for inspiration. Jesus purposely laid down His diety, subjecting Himself to the death of the cross. We know this because God can not die. Yet, the diety of Christ was His to lay down and take up again.

If Jesus isn't God, how could he say:
"before Abrahm was born, I am" (Jn 8:58)
"if you've seen me, you've seen the father" (Jn 14:8)
"I and the Father are one" (Jn 10:30)
"the glory I had BEFORE creation" (Jn 17:5,24)

And why does Paul tell us:
"by him (Jesus) all things were created" (Col 1:16)
"our great GOD and savior" (Tit 2:13)
"he is the exact representation of his (God) being" (Heb 1:3)
"our GOD and savior Jesus Christ" (2 Pet 1:1)

Jesus is also called "Immanuel", which means God with us.

But he came to earth as a MAN. (see below)

If Jesus were the almighty God, how is it that he was created?
All power comes from his father Jehovah. This they both use as needed and much of what is done is executed by dedicated angels.
Yes Jesus became a God when he died for us, as a reward from Jehovah. But until that point he first was a powerful angel, then a man. But Had he had God status prior to his death, they couldn't have killed him and thus there would have been no sacrifice
available to us.

The trinity was made up by and for Catholics only. Until they changed their own bibles to back it up, it wasn't in their bibles either. Check some of them printed prior to the newer editions.

It should be evaluated in its context.

14 Then, midway through the festival, Jesus went up to the Temple and began to teach. 15 The Jewish leaders were surprised when they heard him. "How does he know so much when he hasn't studied everything we've studied?" they asked.

16 So Jesus told them, "I'm not teaching my own ideas, but those of God who sent me.

*key: 17 Anyone who wants to do the will of God will know whether my teaching is from God or is merely my own.

18 Those who present their own ideas are looking for praise for themselves, but those who seek to honor the one who sent them are good and genuine. 19 None of you obeys the law of Moses! In fact, you are trying to kill me."

He was in a hostile environment in a crowd that was "trying to kill" as Jesus knew their hearts to be contemplating. He knew that the time was not yet ripe that he should die, so he assumed the role of man, not Christ, since an inflamitory statement of his annointing would not have been in the Father's interest.

Jesus the man was anointed [Christ] the eternal Son. [Word made flesh]

Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
This is the one who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
