I know some of you are waiting for a great tribulation. How long before you realize this is not going to happen?

Try to remember that the first part of the Bible isn't about Jesus. The people who follow only that part will be unaffected. As for the others, at what point do you say something will never happen just because it hasn't yet? You can never be sure and you never need to give up.

i'm no longer probably particular what proportion distinctive interpretations of it you have discovered yet I even have discovered very few. The words mean what the words mean. I even have first hand understanding of Catholic doctrine, Methodist doctrine, Pentecostal doctrine, Baptist doctrine, Calvary Chapel (Non denominational) doctrine and that all of them combination precise without conflict on concerns that are middle to salvation. the 2d you %. up a Bible and have faith the Holy Spirit to lead you; you're following the custom of the Apostles and of our lord Jesus. Christ physique has many areas in basic terms as our physique does. the themes start to ensue whilst the attention ball starts telling the ft that they do no longer look to be an component to the physique with the aid of fact they do no longer see. The toe yells lower back on the attention that it isn't area of the physique with the aid of fact it does not stabilize the foot. i'm hoping that helps. would the Lord richly bless you.

Of course they will....

I know this because Jesus has failed to show up on countless occasions when his coming was prophesized... and people were confused and bewildered, then eventually decided that some mortal somewhere had made a mistake, and that they were a few years off.... then tried again.

They're going to keep doing that for the rest of eternity. Once every few years we'll have another missed deadline for Jesus to come back.... They never learn though.

That is unless of course one takes as truth what I believed a few years ago... which was that I was the reincarnation of the dead mr Jesus... come back in perfectly ordinary, mortal form.... to attempt to punish all the idiot christians who got it wrong and made a personality cult of the teachings...

Maybe it is like in "Joe Dirt". He waited for days at the grand canyon for his parents to come back, and then he went looking for them. He later found that they left him on purpose. Maybe after being nailed up Jesus decided people were *******'s.......for real, some people are still waiting for Elvis to return, because they don't think he is dead. If you like something enough, I guess some people can blind themselves from reality (blind faith). If Jesus existed, he died.

If you don't believe he is coming back, does that mean you can do whatever you want and it's ok? Is that why your asking? Even if you don't believe, Christ still loves you. He is sad but he will turn away. Blessed are those that believe and have not seen! Just before your last breath is when you will see Christ either standing with open arms to recieve you or with his back to you. If he comes back before you last breath, is that the only time you would believe? That is not Faith. Who are we to question Jesus/GOD!

So many people have responded to your question from different angles of the debate. My answer to you is that I believe the motivation for religion is fear... fear of death, fear of the unknown, fear that their life may not have a meaning they are aware of. People cling to their faith to try to feel safe and to have an idea of what life is about. What they don't realize is that religious writings are designed to perpetuate their fear under a guise of "good news." They will follow and believe because not to would mean feeling hopeless and scared. You will see many people cling to their faith like a life-preserver, because for many, that is exactly what it is. Most will never realize that this is not going to happen.

Since you believe he was once here, you must have faith he will return one day. Believers don't put the tribulation on a timetable as time is objectable.

People are always going to be waiting for the return of Jesus, because no matter what, they'll think it's going to happen. And they're also going to always see current events as "signs" of his impending return.
