cannot load internet options from control panel seems to be greyed out no response when clicked. Intenet explorer browsers bar not visable. cannot download internet explorer, cannot download most software, some exceptions! any easy answers please

I fear the worst for you - I had a similar problem when my comp was infected with a virus. Has your homepage changed recenty on its own? If so , you probably have it too. What you need to do is -
Log in in safe mode (press F 8 while booting and choose safe mode)
update your antivirus through the net.
re-start in normal mode and do a complete scan.
If you are not happy with your antivirus, try AVG from www.grisoft.com - its free. Alternatively, try housecall-antivirus from symantec - it is an online scan and quite effective.

Seems that your `IE' has got corrupted somehow.. You can download and use alternative browsers like Firefox or Opera

If it worked before than try backing your computer up to an earlier date..

Than to SYSTEM RESTORE
Choose an earlier date to back your computer up
