Also in Job the bible mentions that the Behemoth has a tail "like a cedar". That's a TREE! And the cedars of Lebanon were BIG.
That ain't no elephant!

Although we alter the spelling of behemoth and Leviathan slightly, we still use those same words in bibles today. However, tanniyn is always translated into another word when we write it in English. Tanniyn occurs 28 times in the Bible and is normally translated “dragon.” It is also translated “serpent,” “sea monster,” “dinosaur,” “great creature,” and “reptile.” Behemoth and Leviathan are relatively specific creatures, perhaps each was a single kind of animal. Tanniyn is a more general term, and it can be thought of as the original version of the word “dinosaur.” The word “dinosaur” was originally coined in 1841, more than three thousand years after the Bible first referred to “Tanniyn.” To make things clearer, we constructed the following table comparing the scientific names with the Biblical names tanniyn, behemoth, and Leviathan.
It is hard to read Job 41:18-21 without realizing the Bible is telling us that Leviathan breathes fire. That alone will eliminate almost every living animal. Yes, there is one animal like that in today’s world. It is called a bombardier beetle. This beetle is a native of Central America, and has a nozzle in its hind end that acts like a little flame thrower. It sprays a high-temperature jet of gas (fueled by hydroquinones and hydrogen peroxide with oxidative enzymes) for protection. Now, if a Central American beetle can do it, so could Leviathan. By the way, crocodiles and alligators are out of the picture on this one.

There is scripture thet mentions behemoths, large creatures. The Bible certainly doesn't rule out the existance of dinosaurs. The Bible is about God's interaction with man. It wouldn't make sense to have endless descriptions about life before man came. The book would be huge, too heavy to even lift if it contained all of the earth's history account by account.

Those who believe in a younger age for the earth tend to agree that the Bible does mention dinosaurs though it never actually uses the word “dinosaur.” Instead, it uses the Hebrew word tanniyn (pronounced tan-neen; Strong’s #08577). Tanniyn is translated a few different ways in our English Bibles; sometimes it’s “sea monster,” sometimes it’s “serpent.” It is most commonly translated “dragon.” The tanniyn appear to have been some sort of giant reptile. These creatures are mentioned nearly thirty times in the Old Testament and are found both on land and in the water.

Why would you go to old books to refute scientists? People in those days didn't know what dinosaurs were. They made up some monsters in the Bible, but there were many stories of monsters back then.
You can find much evidence around that scientists did not make up dinosaurs. Visit a natural history museum someday.

The Dinosaurs are from the Preadamic Period between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.
No one knows how long that Period was.

Yes, there is.
We read of an apparent fire-breathing dragon type thing in the book of Job (chapter 41, i think). I know it sounds crazy, but it's there in the book (in the context that God is answering Job's doubts by showing how much larger His creation is than Job - and how much larger He is than His creation).
A couple of things before everyone laughs at my answer. This creature, the leviathan, is described to have sparks from his mouth and smoke from his nostrils - not impossible.
The bombadier beatle is a beatle (obviously) that has four chambers inside of its body, each filled with a distinct chemical. When the beatle is in danger, those chemicals combine in one chamber and the beatle releases a fire that destroys the threat. (i PROMISE this is the truth, i'm sure you can google it).
Many Creation-Scientists believe that the chambers within the skull of the Tyranosaurus (however that is spelled) may well have been similar to that of the bombadier beatle. When threatened (or hungry) the enormous beast could release flame from its mouth (and smoke through its nose).
My theory is that our friend, the T-Rex, is what the Bible called and the Patriarchs (like Job) knew as a leviathan.
interesting stuff. hope it helped
EDIT/NOTE: Hippos can be run through with a spear and its head will be hurt by a harpoon (Job 41.7)
Hippos don't have armor (Job 41.13)
They don't have scales (Job 14.15)
There are so many more things in this passage that hippos simply aren't. I'm sorry, but there is no sense in giving answers without reading the text.

It's a proven fact that dinosaurs existed, because the fossils are the prove of them.

The Native tribes on the prairies of Canada saw the bones often enough to give them a name of their own.
They imagined a great creature they called the Father of the Buffalo, and pictured it as an overgrown Bison. In our time the bones have been assembled and we know those creatures did not look like Buffalo.
Don't go to the bible, go to a museum of Natural history, The Tyrrel Museum in Alberta if you can get there.
Maybe if you go for a walk in the Red Deer River Valley you will find a few of the bones yourself.
Hand to imagine it as made up when you have the fact of a fossil in your hand.

There are some who have argued that a passage saying "There were giants in those days" refers to the existence of dinosaurs. However, there are no explicit references to them, because the books of the Bible were written long after they became extinct. I think that no matter what you say to your husband and no matter what evidence you provide, he is going to believe what he wants to believe.
