Ali is much faster than him even though he's heavyweight. Plus he could take a beating/punch compared to Liddell who got knocked out cold early in his career.

Interesting, first off boxing gloves are huge compared to the 4 oz. knuckle protector gloves Liddell wears. But ok. Ali is very fast on his feet, has a great chin, with above average hand speed and some power. He has the biggest heart of all time. Liddell is a devasting striker, with great kicks, top notch wrestling ability, and he also has a great chin. I think Liddell's whip kicks to the legs of Ali would take their toll, Ali would than become more stationary, Liddell would wrestle him to the ground, and, either submit him or punish him with elbows and punches. Liddell late in the fight.

First of there is an obvious weight differnce. yet enable's think of they conflict at a capture weight. Chuck Liddell has a much extra effective upward thrust up than Matt Hughes. Matt Hughes is a huge wrestler yet Chuck Liddell has the multiple maximum suitable takedown protection ever seen. Chuck's ability to maintain the combat off the floor will bypass away Hughes struggling with a standup combat with Liddell which all of us be responsive to isn't almost as good as Chuck's standup. that's going to likely be like the Tito Ortiz fights. Ortiz is a fighter who prospers on takedowns and sing his wrestling ability to maintain perfect place to floor and pound. He could no longer take Liddell to the floor which led to him getting knockout two times. With that being reported, Chuck Liddell

In a boxing ring Ali would win hands down. In the Octagon Liddell wins.

In the ring, Ali would win because it's his home, he's been training with it and only it, etc...

In the Octagon, Liddell wins because he has trained in MMA, the rules are radically different in a way that Ali is not used to, etc...

In a boxing match, this isn't even a question. Ali is rediculously faster, much better reflexes, can take a better punch, most likely punches harder, better jab. I say Ali stops Lidell in 2 rounds. Probally by TKO, I say referee jumps in after Ali knocks Lidell down twice. Now in the octagon, we must remember that Lidell is primarily a kickboxer(usually uses his hands though). The reason he doesn't get taken to the ground is because he is awesome at preventing himself from being taken down with wrestling and grappling techniques. If I was Lidells trainer I would tell him to take Ali down and submit him. If Lidell tries to box Ali in the Octagon, I would slightly favor Lidell, however, it is entierly possible that Ali either stops him or decisions him. If I had to pick I would say Lidell though. Then again, Ali is the bigger man. If Lidell tries wrestling, he wins and there is not much question i nmy mind. If hes tries boxing I say its even money.

In a boxing match...ali....he is a heavyweight first off, and he is better technically, Liddells wild punches wouldnt land.
