I don't think so but the people who set these fires are rather warped. Lots of you guys want to talk about the crimes committed by Hispanics but you want to downplay instances similar to this when a Hispanic gives his life defending the state and country that he loves. READ FOR YOURSELF

There's nothing wrong with mexicans. Only illegals. And yes, American citizens commit crimes too. That doesn't make my views hypocritical. I want criminals from this country locked up, fined, or executed (depending on how bad their crime was). I want illegal aliens shipped home. That is their prison for committing the crimes of false documentation, illegal border crossing, etc. If they commit other crimes here, then they should be sent to mexican jails. And I don't care how bad their prisons are.

Nancy F, what do you think is the truth about the e coli? It is theorized that wild pigs caused the outbreak. Guess what? That would be rather difficult since e coli is a species-specific virus. The strain that affects pigs has no effect on humans, and vice versa. So that shoots down the current theory, wouldn't you think?

The only possible cause for the e coli outbreak is that a human, or humans, planted it, either incidentally or intentionally. Either way, someone who was intimately involved with the spinach in some way (picked it, packaged it, unloaded it, put it on store shelves) was the cause. You pro-criminals constantly go on about how illegals do the jobs we don't do. Guess what? Your argument has backfired. Most of these jobs are the ones we "won't do." That leaves illegals to pick the spinach, package the spinach, unload the spinach, and sometimes work in the grocery stores.

Nancy, how does that disprove the theory of illegals defecating in our spinach fields? The human strain is present on human feces. There is no such thing as a "feces strain of e coli". Or are you saying that illegals aren't humans?

I really don't know and really don't think race should be an issue on the matter anyway. The person who set the fire is obviously guilty not only of arson, but the death of five fire fighters. Whoever the person is that set those fires should have the book thrown at them and be charged for those deaths, the damage to property and whatever other charges fit the crime too.

Oh please ,will this one upmanship never stop.I answered a question from an anti illegal supported the same way.We can post articles all day long showing the bad and good of everyone. What good does it do.No one is going to change their mind over one newspaper article.
Every one on here has their minds made up and the "feel good" or "feel bad" articles posted will not change their minds. Its sad when anyone loses their life doing any thing. Its a dangerous profession, firefighting. It happens.
No one wants to see any of them die.I don't feel any worse abut it being a person of any ethic group. Its all sad.
This oh look at this BS needs to stop ,I never do that and I wish every one would just stop. There are bad illegals, there are bad Hispanic.Just like there are BAD people in every race ,color or national origin.
Just as there are plenty of good people from every where.

I agree with you. Too many times Hispanics are in the news for crimes but too few times is it ever noticed that many of them are working hard for our people in this country. In Iraq in the police in the fire dept and as doctors nurses and teachers. Those types of sacrifice rarely make the headlines.

Here's a link on the psychological profile of an arsonist, and another for a rapist. Usually they are young, white, men or part-time firefighters who benefit by having the extra work.

There are a lot of latino/hispanic people in California in general--citizens and non-citizens--so if the arsonist is one of these people, it is by chance.

People that spend there time doing that are looking for someone to blame for there own junk. One way or another it`s someone elses fault for what`s not going there way.Hispanic people are no different than any other people they want to have a life. There is good and bad in all people.

Hate to say this, but most large fires in California are started by white men and so are serial killers. unfortunately blacks and hispanics have gangs, so every race has their losers.
