The term "ergonomics" defines these problems and solutions that you are looking answers for.

You should have a chair with five wheels, comfortable, and sit straight with you back completely aligned with the chair. This will prevent strain on the neck and spinal chord. There are shields available for purchase to help with the your eyes. It will help with the glare coming from the PC. You may consider investing in a larger screen so the font will be larger to read and easier to see.

Good luck and God bless!

If you are using an old CRT monitor, you may want to consider buying an LCD screen. LCD screens have no flicker and are much easier on the eyes. Ever since I switched, my eyes dont hurt anymore after long hours on the computer.

For back strain, I would suggest a nice new computer chair with good lumbar support.
