What does "Sleeping with raised bed bottom" means?Please explain me

This is probably done by putting something under the foot end of the mattress to raise the feet and legs above the heart level to decrease swelling. You can also put the legs at the foot end of the bed up on blocks of wood to create this effect too. Basically it means raising the foot end of the bed to help reduce leg and foot edema.
