My husband told me that we have to store his brothers Big Screen TV at our house until he gets his own place. He said it can't be stored out in the cold garage because something on it would crack or break due to the cold temps. I think it's a projection-style TV...not plasma or anything fancy. It's an older model. So, is what he says true, or is it just a line of B.S. so he can play XBox on it?

Depending on how cold it gets it acutally is a slight possibility.

There is a sensitive lens on a rear projection TV that can develop frost and crack under cold conditions.

Although, unless he's had this happen to him, or he's a tv repair man, I doubt he knows this and he probably wants to hit up the xbox.. :)

Possible , yes , plausable, not really...

I play my Wii on a fifty 2" widescreen. No issues. possibly he suggested that because some human beings get over excited and finally end up tossing their remotes by the show - the bigger the show, the bigger the objective. or perhaps he suggested that because the Wii doesn't have HD capacity (even although the aftermarket ingredient cables DO make a distinction), that it could be unnecessary to purchase a huge-show HD television fairly for taking area in the Wii. or perhaps he suggested that because, like various video games, a television show can get "burned" by technique of an photo if it remains on the show for prolonged classes of time. both way, i'm suprised on the salesperson - he might want to wish to promote you the large show. yet besides, i'm quite particular there does not be a challenge.
