this is just her exploring different ways of doing things as the world starts to open up to her. her experimentation is a positive sign that she is growing and developing.

I really don't know the right answer to this question but i am in the same boat with you. My son is now 6 but earlier he used to read numbers backwards. About the A being upside down, if this could be the same story but his 3, d, b and g are backwards. Now he's doing fine with them. I think that its just an age thing and just needs to learn the proper ways of reading and writing.

I wouldn't be alarmingly concerned just yet. It took my daughter until she was 4 to count above 10 properly and to get certain letters in the right direction...she's now 12 and an honor roll student for the last 3 years.
My brother was still writing my name TOTALLY backwards...spelling and letter formation BOTH...until he was probably 6 or so....he is now 30 and an highly acclaimed high school band instructor (I can't even read music myself...but HE writes symphonies!)
Just be aware and alert of her progress...she doesn't yet totally realize that she is doing these things incorrectly. Just be persistent in the proper instruction and if these behaviors persist, then I would have her assessed

Nope. My daughter is 3 years old and she JUST started drawing upside down. She is doing her ghosts upside down and her happy faces upside down. I asked a friend of mine who is trained in this line of work (She works with Health Babies, Healthy Children) and she said it is OK that they do this, they are just exploring. What you would have to be concerned about is if they start talking backwards. They still fully dont understand the orders of things even though they did before. So if things dont get better by 4.5 years then you should seek help with a trained professional. But for now, its ok for them to be drawing upside down.

I would not worry at this age.. my 3 year old can write her name Cassie but her S's are the wrong way round, she also draws a person upside down !!! I think at this age they are just learning & experimenting with writing & drawing..
If your that concerd maybe speak to your health visitor, personaly if your little princess is doing well with her speech, hearing etc.. I would not worry as yet,
All the best

Bless her, she is only 3 years old. I wouldnt worry, just keep half an eye on her in the future. It is very common for children to go through things like this. When school starts that will be the main time for her learning. They also have dyslexia tests in infant schools that they give to pupils to catch any early signs of dyslexia. Dont worry, just enjoy the time that you have with her now, it wont last to long.

Please try not to worry. Give her time. She is still in the developmental stages of her learning. She will still be in this stage up to at least second grade with some letters and numbers. I had the same worries as you and even had my son tested in second grade. His teachers were not worried, but said it would be a good idea to ease my mind. He knew most of his letters before he started school, but once they start putting them with other letters to make words, they sometimes get confused. He had started writing his 9's to look like P's, b's to d's and even from time to time s's were backwards. He is now in fifth grade and during his second grade year got everything all together. Just be patient and guide her calmly through her mistakes.

no need for concern every child is different. Believe it or not my 3 year old can count past 20, she knows all of the alphabet, all of her colours, days of the week etc etc. However you give her a pen and paper and she just scribbles. i've tried to help her write letters but failed every time.
I wouldn't worry your child is simply learning and experimenting im sure she will be ok its still very early.

My daughter had a similar problem. The doctor said she was exploring different ways of doing things, but to make sure that she knew how to do her alphabets and etc. the correct way. She does just fine now. She's in Kindergarten.
