they take this one "Me and God are one". which can have alot of explanation. such as Jesus can't speak by himself, but from God who tell him what to do, it's not necessary mean that Jesus is God. remember the Bible has been translated and it's not accurate.
but you never take these verses too literal?
Deuteronomy 6:4

1 Corinthians 8:6
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things,
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

I am not sure what your question is. but I think that you are not showing the full verse on 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 "So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live"

The ENTIRE religion is based on picking and choosing verses that say what they want... and then rationalizing away the ones that disagree. This is why more and more people are coming to realize the lie that is Christianity.
Now if the same thing could just happen for Islam... this world would be in a lot better shape.

Why don't you come out and at least be honest about your question?

the early church took those verses literally. and people believe what in their parents believed.
