It looks so cheap and tacky! Does caramel colored highlights mean something different to each stylist?

Yes it can be different, even though common sense tells most people that caramel is not blonde! I suggest your sis go back to the salon where she had them done, and get them toned, If she doesn't want the same stylist, they should still have someone else to help her. Tell your sis to look a swatches of hair color, every salon has them( or should). Depending on her natural color level, she may want to stay within 2 levels of that. There should be level indicators on the swatch or the stylist can help her find them. To me caramel highlights would be more of a light brown color. I wish her the best of luck.

No, caramel is what it is. My suggestion would be now to do the caramel highlights which would be pretty with the blonde if you can find a hairstylist that know what they are doing. Make sure the caramel dominates rather than the blonde & that would be real pretty.

Caramel is definitely not blonde, the stylist screwed up. I would suggest that your sister go back and have it re-done for free.

Yes. Caramel can be blondish or a soft brownish tint. Your sister should have been very specific and asked to see a sample -- hairdressers keep hair samples on a board that show the different colors they use. You can hold that sample up against your hair and make sure it's what you want.

It can. I would got back and tell the stylist that it's to light. If she got them within a week, the stylist should tone them for free.

if you have blonde hair it will naturally get bleached by the particular sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who also had golden blonde hair that has been a medium brown near the bottom. When he came back to school after summer vacation, it was almost platinum blonde!

Why is everyone with blond, why aren't you just have jet black hair with some blonde or blonde curly hair with some jet black hair. Today you don't have to choose.

its not supposed too, it just supposed to be a light brown, not anything even close to blonde, im sorry to hear they f*ucked it up,
