to decide on where to live you must first decide on the lifestyle that you want in your new home.
I have lived in Mexico for nearly 20 years.. Before that, I lived and worked all over the U.s>
and a short stay in England. If you plan to work, check the immigration laws for the countries that interest you.. If you plan to play, things are a lot simpler..For example, it is difficult to obtain working papers in Mexico unless you can prove that the job you want is good for the Mexican community (like teaching or something cultural).. Also your job choice must be unique so you are not competing with the local labor force. The best bet is to visit as a tourist and and test the water..After a year you should have enough knowledge to decide on a final place. Good luck.

Are you an American citizen? Can you get a resident visa to go to the country you would like to visit? Do you need a working visa? Are you entering the country as an International Student?

Think about htese questions and I'm sure you'll have an easier selection of choices........ GOOD LUCK! Be adventurous!

Australia - People are not as snobbish towards Americans as in England, but are friendly and well-mannered in Australia. It also helps that they speak a language that's almost the same and has great beaches, habitat, and places to travel nearby (New Guinea, Fiji, SE Asia, etc). I enjoyed it more than most other countries.
