Had this problem with 2 of my kids. It is common amongst 2yr olds to have a fear of pooing in the loo/potty. I used to suggest that if they need a poo to ask me for a nappy-2yr old does this now-rather than them hold it in and causing constipation.
Don't worry they soon grow out it by the time they are 3yr old!

Good luck!

Well, either he goes, or he is going to explode. Frood referred to this condition as 'anally retentive'. Which describes a lot of adults. If he can hold it, then presumably that is a good thing as he isn't suddenly going to let it all go in the middleof sainsburys. She wait near him with a potty when he decides that he is going to poo again.

It is something to worry about. He does need to go or he could have some major tummy issues.

I would give him some fruits and juice to make it less of a choice for him.
