He has been tested for Hepatitis, mono and recently had a CAT scan done and all have come back negative. This has been going on for at least 6 weeks. We don't know what questions we should be asking or if we should be asking for more tests. Can anyone offer some advice? By the way, he is not a drinker or smoker. He is not overweight, he is very active. He eats very healthy and takes a multi-vitamin everyday. We're worried that it is something serious and no one seems to have any answers. He is not diabetic either, nor does it run in his family. No liver disease in his family either.

I had the same problem, but before I tell u my story, did you test him against all the Hepatitis strands (A,B &C) if u did and negative then let me tell u my story, could apply to him.

I spent months doing tests and I visited around 6 different doctors trying to find out what was wrong with my liver. Of course, I took the tests over and over again in different labs because liver tests are often not very accurate so I had to make sure.

Anyways, to cut a long story short I discovered that I had no physical disease but I had a hereditary problem called "fatty liver syndrome" this bascially means that my liver accumulates fats more than normal people. There is no cure, what you can do is cut down on fatty food like cheese, burgers, milk, pizza etc and lose weight. In other words switch to healthy food, this is not easy of course, but it is a must to avoid damage to the liver.

Talk to your doctor about fatty liver syndrome and check with his parents to see if they had a similar condition, better yet have them tested because it is hereiditary.

Good luck.

That's an old wives tale sweetheart. Mangoes are good for skin because they are high in Vitamin A. I eat mangoes in the summer and have perfect skin (I have psoriasis on my scalp but it has nothing to do with mangoes). When I hear the word mango I think of Doctor No, Underneath The Mango Tree was a song that was playing on the radio in 007's car, at the bar, and Honey Ryder was singing it when she walked out of the water. That's it I have to watch that movie again!
