Each of us are born of water, from in the womb. To be born again, you must accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and then you will receive God's Holy Spirit and be born again of the Spirit.
Just having Christian parents does not make you a Christian.

It is from a Zombie that was dead in trespasses and sins and now has come to life a new thru a miracle of the Spirit as he came to Lord Jesus to be healed.
All Believers in the Lord Jesus as their savior are born of the Spirit thru faith . So by Miracle it is the sinner that is Born again. This is where the Christian faith is Unique.
The a blvr post above is correct.

It comes from the verses in St. John 3:3 Where Jesus told Nicodemus Except a man or woman be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Verse 5: Except a man be born of Water(Water Baptism) In Jesus Christ name, & of the spirit, (HOLY GHOST BAPTISM) he can not enter into the kingdom of God. Look closely how these verses is written, one says "see & the other one says Enter" Therefore Salvation is in 3 steps, Just like a natural birth, Repent, Be baptized In the name Of the Lord Jesus Christ & recieve the Baptism of the Holy ghost, In the natural birth you have Conception(instead of REPENT) Then you have the water Breaking (instead of water Baptism) Then you have Life, ( which in the spiritual is recieving The Holy Ghost) the New birth. To see the kingdom of God means to understand God's word, & to enter means to Receive the Holy Ghost, Because The Kingdom of God is within us.

It comes from the Bible. Jesus said we must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God. "Born again" means baptized. Jesus was questioned about the meaning of this term when He used it. His listener asked "how can I be born again? Can I reenter my mother's womb?". Jesus responded by telling him that being born again has nothing to do with biological birth; rather, it means being born of the waters of baptism, and of the spirit who comes upon us in baptism.
