What do women expect from a guy on a first date?

women want a guy thats charming and bold. dress nice, smell good, have an enthusiastic energy, smile, display your sense of humor, ask open-ended questions that create an emotional connection, like asking her about her passion in life, what she likes to do, etc and relating it with your own experiences.

dont be scared to get a little physical, a little playful, keep it fun and friendly, but also compliment her and make her feel special. dont expect too much from the first date. if you play your cards right you might get a kiss, but make sure and make a second date before the date is over

oh, and if youre paying, try and dont spend more than $50 for the date ;)

good luck bro

I'm a guy, so sex is usually a good answer :)

For a first date, it is really more of a matter of getting to know each other. You would want to see what u n the guy is like, know each other's interests, opinions of 'neutral' things (i.e. not politics, religion etc.), having fun (jokes, doing something you both are interested in), talking about what u 2 find romantic, etc.

The first date is suppose to be easy going, light hearted, not too deep, fun, don't take things too seriously, a bit casual, mild, a bit open. If you or him feels awkward u will know u or he has said something that shouldn't have been said on a first date.

Have fun.

I think your concerns are accurate. If he is in grad school he is obviously a busy person, but to the right person I think he should/would make time for that person. There are a lot of different types of people in the world, and some people that go after higher degrees sometimes tend to be "workaholics". It's just their personality. And this boyfriend may be a workaholic. Sometimes these kinds of people don't realize the way they are because they are so consumed in their work. I briefly went on a couple of dates with a female that was in grad school to be a doctor. She seemed like she was open to seeing me but she constantly had schedule conflicts. So after a few weeks I just said "No more". This reminded me a littel of my situation that I was briefly in. You sound like you are a person that likes affection and spending time with their significant other. My honest advice is that you should try to find someone that does the same. I think it's the only way you will be happy in the long run. (If this is that guy then great, but if not, try to find someone that is more readily available) I ended up marrying someone that likes to have social time out with a significant other and am extremely happy right now

I always say...No expectations, no disappointments. On a first date, just go with the flow, it's a nervous kinda thing for both people... so just have fun.

Just don't expect them to be all over you on the first date, unless there is mad chemistry or something! ♥

Hypothetically speaking this is the VERY BEST treatment your gonna get outta this guy... So if he treats you like he "kinda" cares or he's not a true gentleman on the first date, then get rid of him. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE FIRST IMPERSSION.

made to laugh, and feel like the centre of your universe (unfortunately that expectation never goes away), but mainly laughing.
