There is a reason why people call it "practicing" witchcraft. It is a practice. You will experience both success and failure. Learn from your mistakes and go on. Practice, time, experience, and commitment are needed. This isn't a short-term hobby but a way of life. You're learning---that's a good thing. It's the people who aren't honest enough to admit that all of their spells don't work as they intended that I worry about.

Being a follower of Wicca does not make you an automatic Witch. Some Wiccans don't practice Witchcraft at all, never do spells or anything of that nature, and some do. A witch is someone who practices the art of Witchcraft. If you practice Witchcraft, then you can call yourself a Witch. To be Wiccan is different, although, you don't have to join a coven to be one.
Oh, and DON'T read Silver Ravenwolf until you have been at it a few years, as some of her stuff is nonsense, so you will need the time and knowledge to sift through the tripe to find the gold, so to speak.

That is up to you. The word 'Witch' has a lot of baggage associated with it. I prefer to think of myself as a practitioner of Wicca as opposed to a Witch but from time to time I have taken that title to defend it.
When you preform a ritual or cast a spell, the success is partially dependent upon you and also the universe. If it doesn't go as you expected perhaps you should reexamine what it is you are asking for. In my experience, the Universe has a rather perverse sense of humor if you are not careful in what you ask for. Sometimes a simple rewording can go a long way. Sometimes it just takes a lot more energy for it to work. Not all spells take on the first casting. Patience and perseverance go a long way.

no it wicca's true definition is Wisdom. To BE a witch is to be wise. Which means you not only know manythings but you know how to execute them. You are a witch who might just need to better understand how life, energies, and the universe works. Power and knowledge come with time and patience. If your spells are not working try to meditate more on what it trully is you want as a result of your craft work. Also intent is very powerful, you have to really want it and believe it will happen. Make your spell wise. Make sure you have a loop hoole incase you need to undo the spell or in case it needs reversal work done. Try reading books by Silver Raven Wolf!

Sometimes certain spells don't work for a certain person. Try different ways of getting the results you want. Just because something doesn't work for you doesn't mean you aren't a real witch. It might mean that your visualization was off that day or for some reason that spell doesn't do it for you. Keep trying and don't give up, no matter what all these bible beaters are about to say to you.

I suppose that depends on what your definition of witch is. If you can do some spells, I would at least consider you a novice witch. Perhaps you should ask another wiccan to help guide you. I am a christian so I am afraid I would be of little help in that realm. Blessings to you and good luck.

You really shouldn't ask other people to label you. You are what you believe you are. Maybe some spells aren't meant to work. Maybe it is the will of a higher power that things be as they are. Have true faith in yourself.

Yes you are a witch. We are what we see ourselves as. You just need to learn more mental discipline to get your spells to work.
