Those who go to heaven are a part of the first resurrection, or the Rapture. After Armageddon is the second resurrection of Revelations, and what happens with children under the age of understanding depends of the life live by the parents. Just as it was before the flood and at Sodom and Gomorrah.

Everyone who had died in Christ, everyone who had put their faith in Christ, and those who are not able to make the choice will be given glorified bodies, which would probably be trillions of people in heaven. We will not be "hanging around" however. We will be worshiping the King of Kings, we will be feasting on knowledge. Just imagine, an eternity of ever learning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing becomes "old" My brain just itches to be there.

The flesh is temporary, and returns to the Earth it's made from.
The spirit is eternal, and returns to the Creator who gave it.
