When the plane is cleaned out between flights, they are thrown into a bin and the bin is taken to a launderer. New blankets along with the new supplies for the next flight are put into the plane.

they are clean enough. You do actually have a fair bit of resistance to germs, anyway the air in the aeroplane is much more likely to give you a bug if someone on board has a cold. use of the blankets and pillows during the flight is included. I believe that to take them with you is theft.

I'm an airline baggage handler and we also have to go thru and "groom" the planes between flights. Unless they come in plastic, do NOT use the blankets! They just get picked up from the floor, refolded and tossed in the overhead.....over and over....no washing.

my cousins sister in law is a flight attendant, she says never ever touch those things, or the pillows, lots of them have the same stuff that monicas lewinsky's dress had on it, not to mention other germs.
