The Marriott Time Square could easily accommodate a group that size. Great location to dining shows, etc.

There are a lot of hotels in Manhattan that have over 200 hotel rooms. Here are a couple of suggestions to help you.

The NYC Visitors and Convention Bureau has a list of hotels that are used for conventions and large meetings. http://www.nycvisit.com/_uploads/docs/Meetings_HotelsAtoZ_2005.pdf

You can also go to the web sites of the various chain hotels (Holiday Inn, Hilton, Best Western, Marriott, etc.). Most will have a link called meetings, conventions, events, or something similar. You can use these links to find hotels that fit your needs.

If you are booking 200 rooms, be sure to get discount rates. Also, the hotel should give you some complimentary rooms, a hospitality suite, or something extra for booking a large block of rooms.

Good luck.

I'm in the midst of doing the same thing. It's a nightmare. Be sure to CALL the hotels directly, not just email. Many won't return email. Look for a convention center hotel if you need meeting space. If you're looking for cheap, go to New Jersey. I still haven't found anything my group can afford.
