STUN GUNS ARE LEGAL! in most states.
Please do not confuse stun guns and Tasers - there are different laws for these very different weapons.
Check with your local PD, but my favorite is the:
Lady Lite (600,000 volts of pain in a small / cute stun gun with a flash light - very nice) - CLICK THE LINK BELOW

check with your state. to the best of my knowlage most "stun guns" are not illegal, however, in some states "tasers" are. A stun gun uses two prongs to deliver a high voltage, low amp, shock by touching your assailant. A taser shoots out two prongs and uses an EMD pulse to override your muscle system. Check with your local law enforcement

If you were trained at an academy and work in a police force, then you do believe that stun guns are perfectly legal - for authorized persons only.

My wife and I deal in knives, swords and personal security devices, and Maryland is one state where we are not allowed to ship various items, stun guns included.

Yes. A "stun gun" is illegal. There may be a permit requirement in some states. The same goes for martial arts weapons. You may be able to possess them in your home but the moment you walk out the door with one you're in violation.
