Krishna mentions the way to achive Shanti in Bhagavad Gita (5.29)
God Says,
"A person in full consciousness of Me, knowing Me to be the ultimate beneficiary of all sacrifices and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods, and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attains peace from the pangs of material miseries."

Well, I'm hoping that you get a better answer to your question than I got to mine. I don't know what the shanti path is. I was looking for a primordial sound for my mantra. It's supposedly a sound that's created for you individually based on your birthdate, etc... and that it'll help get to your center.
At any rate, I'll be watching your question, and I hope you receive a better answer batch than I did!
