They are far worse than saturated fats. Saturated fat takes a few days to leave your system, but trans fats can take weeks. Even eating a chip supper or anything like that only once a week is bad for you. you should only eat deep fried thingg more like once a month, if that.

Some pleaces are starting to cook chips, kebabs, etc in other oils, like Rape seed oil. Its much more helathier for you. Ask about it at your local chippies and take aways

The problem with trans fats is that they build up on th ewalls of your arteries very quickly and are difficult for your body to get rid of.

Bad enough that people in their 40's and 50's are now having major heart attacks and brain hemorrhages.
Bad enough that NYC wants the stuff gone completly from their city.

Bad enough. They are the fats the clog arteries that lead to stroke and heart attack.
