I has to meet him at least once a week. He often offers 3 of us a ride home since it is late and we live around same area. This has kind of becoming a routine for months before he shows interest. I regard him as purely a friend. I don't think I should continue to take the free ride since I have no intention to use him nor to encourage his advance. My headache now is coming out a real brilliant excuse to decline his offer yet without embarrass him or attract attentions of others.

He knows I am not attach.

I have tried to leave earlier but I can't do this for long.

Would be appreciate for your useful input.

Btw, his other 2 passengers kind of wanting to play matchmaking too.

And there is no other drivers who go our direction.

Should I want to clarify with him privately, what should I say?

Find another ride or start talking about someone you are interested in whenever you are near him. Do it politely, quietly, not boastfully or cruelly. You sound very kind and considerate.

After reading what you added: I can see this is a situation where you must have the ride, so you must tell him privately with the other two nearby for your safety, after telling the other two you do not wish for anything.

if 3 of you are getting a ride home why should you worry about him being interested in you. If he makes a pass at you or asks you out, just say your not interested in him that way. If you tell a guy right off the bat how you feel when he asks he might get hurt, but will be grateful he didn't waste time on you in the end.

guys are normally HARD HEADED no matter what you try or how many excuses you make they're g0nna keep doing the same thing over and over to them it goes one ear out the other so therefore come clean with him and tell him u just wanna be friends and not looking for a relationship as of right now. tell him your not interested in him but in a go0d way. that way he wont take it up the butt and go crazy. but really just let him know. if he understands then he'll most likely back off a little but if he d0esnt then you know he's most likely to never talk to you again until you talk to him first

Ask him why he's giving away free rides...then, tell him it's not the way to a woman's heart. Act like his mentor and tell him how to dress, speak, walk, talk and basically live his life.

The simplest way is to just sit down with him and tell him your not interested (sorry) that will end your headache .Or you can try another approach which is find him a girl.

tell him that you have no feelings for him and just treating him as purely a friend. it's better for him to know the truth now than letting him think whether or not you have feelings for him too..

stop taking the rides or just wait till he makes a move on you then tell him you are not interested...

or just date me and he'll know you're attached.

Tactfully tell him that you're not interested and don't take his rides ever again.
