A question for all military, everywhere ! John Kerry has spoken, did you hear ?

He says you are ill educated and too dumb to be anything but Military .
Did he give himself another self inflicted wound ?

The only uneducated person is John Kerry. He surely hasn't been around the modern military, making statements like that. To achieve higher levels of rank, you must have a college degree. At least 98% of all military have at least a high school diploma compared to 75% of people across the U.S. A very large number of military have college degrees. Military personnel could well give college professors lessons in life experience and views on the world that the professors themselves have never experienced. Kerry's military decorations are suspicious at best, unless you are Audie Murphy, it would almost be near impossible to recieve all those decorations in just a few months. As for Kerry, every time he opens his mouth, he inflicts more wounds on himself and his party. Confucius say: Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open mouth and remove all doubt.

It was not a smart thing for him to say and you did misquote him.Though it was about time someone said it.
In a way he was right. Most of the recruiting is done in poor school districts. Where the unprepared students faces high unemployment rates or low paying jobs.Their only hope of getting an education and or job is to join the military.
He did not say they were dumb .He said that they were ill educated.In that respect once again he was right.High Schools especially poor school districts do not educate their students to go out and qualify for even an entry level job.They are faced with a Mac Job.Which doesn't even pay a living wage.
With this said it was a comment on the whole system not on our troops.

Kerry has been consistently shooting himself in the foot. I can't stand him, and neither can any soldiers that I know. Some spouses like him better than Bush, but truthfully, half of military spouses aren't informed enough to make that decision. I know that from personal experience.

Wasn't he referring to our idiot President who got us stuck in Iraq? Our soldiers are just doing what they are told to do and going where they are sent. They are not dumb, most are very well educated and all officers have college degrees. I don't care for Kerry, but his words have been greatly distorted here.

Dont misquote and distort Kerry' s words. You and others have gone off the deep end and implied that Kerry said only he dumb and uneducated go to war; if this is true how come Kerry's @ss was in country, while G.W. "IQ 90" took a powder?
